Trump confirmed his intention to ease sanctions against Iran after signing the deal
American sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran will indeed be eased if the parties sign an agreement. This was announced on May 6 by the head of the White House, Donald Trump, during an interview with Liz Landers, a journalist from the American television service PBS News.
"If we make this deal, we will ease sanctions against Iran and so on," he said.
At the same time, as the US president emphasized, there is no clause in the text of the agreement about allegedly allowing Tehran to enrich uranium to the level of 3.67%. Trump, speaking about the potential signing of the agreement, added that it could happen very soon, possibly before his trip to the People's Republic of China (PRC), which will take place next week.
The American leader clarified during the same conversation that the agreement with Tehran does not imply the use of its underground facilities. Then he noted that Washington was moving towards its goal in this process, and also once again threatened the Islamic Republic with a resumption of bombing if it refused to sign the deal.
Ebrahim Rezaei, a representative of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament, in turn, called the text he sent a "wish list rather than a reality." He said that Tehran does not intend to agree to the conditions put forward without concessions from the American side.
