The "yellow" weather danger level due to thunderstorms, rain and strong winds will be in effect in Moscow until Thursday. The Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation announced this on Wednesday, May 6.

It is noted that from 9:00 to 18:00 on May 7, the south-westerly wind is expected to increase in places in gusts up to 15 m/s.

"On the afternoon of May 7, a thunderstorm with rain is expected in some areas; with a thunderstorm, the wind will increase," the Moscow City News agency quotes the message.

A similar warning has been announced in the Moscow region, according to the website. kp.ru .

The day before, a "yellow" weather danger level was declared in the capital and the Moscow region on May 5 and 6 due to expected thunderstorms and increased winds, Moscow 24 writes.

Marina Makarova, a leading employee of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said on May 2 that meteorological summer will begin in the Moscow region on May 26. As the meteorologist noted, this is most important for people working in the agricultural sector. At the same time, the weather conditions will allow all other Russians to feel the onset of the summer season.
