Miroshnik stated that Kiev has no desire for a ceasefire.
The attack on the town of Dzhankoy in the Republic of Crimea demonstrates that Ukraine is not interested in a ceasefire and never fulfills its humanitarian obligations. This was announced on May 6 by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik.
"Ukraine never fulfills its obligations on this kind of humanitarian action," Miroshnik said in an interview with the Vesti news agency.
Miroshnik also noted that as a result of the attacks, there are civilian casualties both in Crimea and in other regions of Russia, including the Bryansk region, where deaths and injuries are recorded.
According to the diplomat, such incidents confirm that Kiev does not comply with its obligations in the field of humanitarian security and continues to escalate the conflict.
On May 4, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin had decided to declare a truce on May 8-9 in honor of celebrating the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The ministry expressed the hope that the Ukrainian side would also join the ceasefire. The Russian military will take all measures to ensure the safety of the celebrations.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on April 16 that Ukraine's refusal to cease fire during the Easter truce had not demonstrated the will to peace. According to Zakharova, the Ukrainian Armed Forces violated the ceasefire 6.5 thousand times and were not going to reciprocate the regime of silence announced by the Russian president.
