In Britain, they confirmed their intention to join the loan for Kiev
The UK authorities intend to join the participation in a pan-European loan for Ukraine in the amount of € 90 billion. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on May 4.
"The country intends to start negotiations on joining the European Union (EU) loan to Ukraine," the article says.
The press service of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed to the agency that on May 4, at the summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan, the kingdom will announce its desire to cooperate with the EU to support Ukraine in obtaining military equipment.
The provision of a loan of €90 billion to the Ukrainian side was approved on April 23. The funds will be received by the EU in the format of Eurobonds, which will be paid by European countries. According to the plan, €30 billion of this amount should be spent on supporting macroeconomics, and the remaining €60 billion should be spent on developing military-industrial potential.
The Wall Street Journal newspaper said on April 27 that this step was insufficient for Kiev, as its needs had grown during the time when financial assistance was approved.
