- Tokayev thanked Putin and Lukashenko for their assistance in the release of the Kazakhstani
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko for their assistance in the release of a Kazakhstani man in Poland. This was announced on May 2 by Presidential press Secretary Aybek Smadiyar.
On April 28, a citizen of Kazakhstan, previously detained in Poland, was released. Smadiyar noted that this became possible thanks to the efforts of Tokayev, who consistently defends the rights of citizens of the country, including abroad.
"During a recent telephone conversation with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Kazakhstan expressed his sincere gratitude to him for the constructive cooperation of our countries in this difficult situation," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
The Head of State also expressed gratitude to the Russian leader for his assistance in achieving a mutually acceptable result.
On April 28, the FSB's Public Relations Center announced the release of archaeologist Alexander Butyagin from prison in Poland. The process of receiving and transferring the designated persons was carried out on the Belarusian-Polish border. The FSB clarified that this event was the result of a multi-stage operation.
