The creators of LEGO cartoons from Iran, Explosive Media, began their activities after the resumption of the military operation of the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic. The developers told about this on April 27 in an interview with Izvestia.

"Starting from the last day of the 12-day war, we started creating these LEGO-style works. Of course, even before that, we were friends, knew each other, and collaborated in the media sphere on public issues, especially on Palestinian issues. However, it was on the last day of the 12-day war that we created our first LEGO—style work," said the members of the association.

It is noted that the creative team consists of less than 10 young people between the ages of 18 and 25. At the same time, many are students, and some have already graduated from the university. Among the areas of the developers' specialties are philosophy, communications, media, engineering, and others. They started creating LEGO works with their own budget, and then they were able to sell the rights to distribute video materials and receive donations.

Answering the question about the choice of animation through LEGO, the developers noted that it is through children's cartoons that the viewer perceives serious things about the war in "children's language, in a lighter and funnier form," which helps to remove the mechanisms of "protection" of a person during traumatic military events.

"LEGO is a universal language. In LEGO animation productions, there is no need for voice acting, no need for characters to speak, as the message is conveyed through the image. In addition, LEGO is something that has been fixed in the minds of Western viewers since childhood, and this causes them to feel nostalgic about it," the creators believe.

According to the creative figures, the awareness of the Iranian people allows them to understand the political issues of the United States and produce content in English that will be understandable to a wider audience.

"Therefore, our level of awareness about Western culture is not unusual. However, for our own productions, we specifically conduct separate studies of Western media, both digital and print. We consider it our obligation to constantly raise our awareness in order to be able to create better material," they concluded.

In addition, the creators clarified that their future plans include distributing their video works in different countries and strengthening their economic presence. They expressed a desire to be more actively present in the digital space of Russia and China, as well as to expand their presence in the social media of these countries. The production of branded products with their subsequent release to various markets is also being considered for support. At the moment, the developers have already established certain contacts with the media of the BRICS countries.

On April 14, Tehran accused the United States of trying to conceal the truth about military actions against Iran, condemning YouTube's decision to block the account of a pro-Iranian animation group that produces LEGO-style cartoons. After the start of the military operation, Explosive Media, which positions itself as an independent "Iran-LEGO-style" animation team, released a series of animated videos that have gained millions of views.
