Zakharova commented on the words of the Estonian Foreign Minister about relations with the Russian Federation

On April 23, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to a statement by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna about her unwillingness to "look back" and restore relations with the Russian Federation.

"European politicians should not look back because of Russia — Russia is ahead. And because of their own perverted anti-values," RIA Novosti quoted Zakharova as saying.

She also focused on internal contradictions and the value crisis in the EU countries, rather than on Russia's actions.

"Well, because of the NATO Secretary General, from whom they can get either a knife in the back or something else," Zakharova added.
