Car owners were warned about fines for washing cars in dachas
Car owners may face a fine of up to 3 thousand rubles for washing a car in a suburban area, Tatyana Lakhtina, associate professor of the Department of State Law and Criminal Law Disciplines at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, said on May 17.
The sanctions are related to violations of environmental and sanitary-epidemiological requirements in waste management. According to the expert, the dirty water remaining after the procedure is considered waste due to the content of petroleum products, detergents and reagents.
"For non-compliance with environmental and sanitary-epidemiological requirements when handling industrial and consumer waste, Articles 8.2 and 6.35 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation provide for administrative liability in the form of an administrative fine, the amount of which ranges from 2 to 3 thousand rubles for citizens," Lakhtina said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The lawyer added that regional legislation may also establish liability for washing vehicles in unidentified locations. These territories include suburban areas.
On April 15, State Duma deputies from the New People faction proposed extending or suspending the deadline for preferential payment of a fine for traffic violations for the period of its appeal. According to the initiative, if an appeal is filed within the time limit prescribed by law, the right to pay a fine with a discount should remain with the citizen until a decision is made on the complaint.
