In Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, police officers detained a man suspected of beating a 13-year-old teenager. This was announced on April 16 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"My colleagues from the Krasnoyarsk Territory have detained a man who injured a 13-year-old schoolboy," she wrote on the MACH platform.

According to the agency, the police received reports from the medical institution and from the victim's mother about his injuries. During the check, the district police established the identity of the suspect — he turned out to be a previously convicted local resident born in 1973.

According to Volk, the man explained his actions by saying that the teenagers were making noise in the entrance. He went out to them and used a metal shoe spoon to drive them away.

Currently, the detainee has been taken to the police department, and investigative actions are being carried out with him. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

The beating of a teenager in Krasnoyarsk became known earlier that day. The victim's mother told Izvestia that her son ran to adults for help after the incident. The police were called to the scene, as well as an ambulance crew, who examined the child and gave him painkillers. After that, he was sent to the emergency room.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
