One person was killed and six injured in a shooting that occurred at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in New Jersey. This was reported on April 12 by the New York Post (NYP) newspaper, citing sources.

"In New Jersey, there was a mass shooting at a Chick-fil-A restaurant, as a result of which one person was killed," the publication says.

It is specified that the people who opened fire fired about seven shots, after which they fled the scene. Law enforcement agencies are currently searching for criminals.

As noted by the Attorney General of the state Jennifer Davenport, the incident is "not a random act of violence." She added that there is currently no threat to the public.
