Any attempts by military vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz will be stopped. This was announced on April 11 by the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

"Information about the passage of American vessels through the strait is refuted, and any attempt by military vessels to pass through it will be severely and decisively suppressed," the Telegram channel said.

The press service added that the IRGC naval forces have the authority to manage the strait. They clarified that only civilian vessels are allowed to pass through Hormuz if certain conditions are met.

Reuters reported on April 8 that the Iranian authorities may partially reopen the Strait of Hormuz next Thursday or Friday, before starting talks with representatives of the United States in Islamabad.

Later, on April 9, American leader Donald Trump said that Iran was allegedly unsatisfactorily and unfairly fulfilling its obligations to ensure the free transit of ships through Hormuz.
