The domestic Volga car brand has introduced the new K40 crossover, the brand's third model after the already announced C50 sedan and K50 crossover. Sales will start in the summer of 2026, the company said in a statement received by Izvestia on April 10.

The Volga K40 will be offered with a choice of two combinations of petrol engines and transmissions.: This is a 1.5-liter turbocharged turbo engine with 147 hp paired with a seven-speed automatic robotic transmission and front-wheel drive, as well as a two-liter turbo engine with 200 hp combined with an eight-speed automatic hydromechanical transmission and all-wheel drive.

The design of the radiator grille differs from its Chinese counterpart, the Volga K40. The car has LED optics, dual-zone climate control, a digital dashboard, a panoramic roof, atmospheric interior lighting, an audio system with 11 speakers, front seats with electric adjustment and ventilation, a projection display, and a package of winter options.

The K40 crossover is also equipped with various electronic driver assistance systems, including a lane-keeping assistant, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign recognition system, and an all-round camera system.

The revived Volga brand introduced the new C50 sedan in Russia on April 3. The Volga C50 will be equipped with a two-liter engine in two boost versions — 150 or 200 hp. The engine is paired with a seven-speed robotic transmission.

Earlier, on March 25, it was reported that the company in Nizhny Novgorod, which previously produced Volkswagen and Skoda models, had completed the preparation of infrastructure and equipment for the serial production of models of the revived Volga brand. The first car has already started its journey along the assembly line.
