Exchange prices for gas in Europe at the beginning of trading on April 8 fell by 18.5% to $518.6 per 1,000 cubic meters. This follows from the data of the London ICE exchange.

The next TTF index futures opened trading at 9:00 a.m. Moscow time at $518.6 (-18.5%). As of 9:15 a.m. Moscow time, the figure was $529.3 (-16.8%).

The dynamics of quotations is based on the estimated price of the previous trading day — $597.6 per 1 thousand cubic meters.

US President Donald Trump said earlier in the day that he had agreed to suspend strikes on Iran for another two weeks. He explained that the condition for this was the complete unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz. The head of the White House said that the United States had received a 10-point proposal from Iran to resolve the conflict.

According to political analyst and journalist Garland Nixon, Trump accepted most of the demands of the Iranian side under pressure from American society, which became "unbearable" due to rising gasoline prices in the country.
