On the eve of Easter, the question arises of organizing a safe holiday diet for children. On April 8, Ksenia Nalegach, pediatrician at SM Clinic, told how important it is to focus on the principle of moderation and avoiding excessive stress on the body when forming the menu.

"Every year after the holidays, the same complaints appear: rash, abdominal pain, bloating, overeating. However, we do not live in a vacuum, and it is impossible to completely limit the child. But knowledge is an opportunity to reduce risks," she told Gazeta.Ru».

Nalegach noted that modern pediatric guidelines allow the inclusion of eggs in the diet as early as the first year of life in the absence of allergies. However, the volume of consumption, the method of preparation and the total amount of product during the holiday period are of key importance.

Separately, the specialist focused on cakes, pointing out that they do not belong to baby food products and are a dessert with a high load on the gastrointestinal tract. According to her assessment, children under 2-3 years of age are recommended to exclude them, and at an older age limit them to minimal portions.

The expert also drew attention to the physiological features of children's digestion, emphasizing that the child's digestive tract is worse able to cope with excess sugar, fatty foods and complex combinations of foods — as a result, even small amounts can cause discomfort.

It clarifies that the key problem lies not in the products themselves, but in their excessive consumption. The doctor pointed out that, on average, 2-3 eggs per week are enough for a child, taking into account all the dishes, and the cake should be limited to a few small pieces, especially at an early age.

On April 4, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the State University of Enlightenment, biologist Irina Lyalina, spoke about the rules for choosing high-quality Easter cakes. They are not recommended to be purchased in spontaneous markets without the necessary documents, as well as in places of sale where storage conditions are violated and there is no information about the composition of the product.

The press service of Roskachestvo reported on April 7 that during Easter it is important to pay attention to the diet in order to avoid discomfort due to excessive consumption of cakes and eggs. In Roskachestvo, it was recommended to limit yourself to 150-200 grams of cake per day.
