Footage of the aftermath of the fighting in the liberated Dimitrov DNR has been published

On April 3, Russian attack aircraft showed Izvestia footage from the city of Dimitrov in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The settlement was liberated by the Russian Army in December 2025.

The published footage shows large-scale destruction: almost all buildings in the city are severely damaged as a result of prolonged and violent clashes.

The remains of burnt-out machinery and scorched vegetation are also visible everywhere.

Izvestia correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan showed the situation in Dimitrov on February 14. It was noted that the city is completely controlled by Russian troops. All buildings and basements have been checked and cleaned, and local residents are assisting in the search for disguised agents.

On December 27 last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed about the liberation of Gulyai-Pole in the Zaporizhia region and Dimitrov in the DPR. Then he stressed that the Russian army has good results in the special military operation zone.
