Trips to Japan will become more expensive due to the increase in fuel charges of local airlines from June. This was reported on April 1 by the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri.

The increase in fuel prices occurred after the US and Israeli strikes on Iran. In this regard, carriers All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines will begin to include additional costs in the cost of tickets. Air ticket prices can rise up to two times depending on the destination.

On flights between Japan and China, fuel charges will increase by 52-68%, to 14.3 thousand yen (about 7.2 thousand rubles). For routes to Europe and North America, the increase will be 72% — up to 55 thousand yen (27.9 thousand rubles). In the Far East, fees will increase by 97%, to 6.5 thousand yen (3.3 thousand rubles).

According to Yomiuri, such a decision may affect consumer activity and reduce the number of tourists interested in traveling to Japan.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said on March 28 that Japan was ignoring requests from Russian air carriers to launch direct flights between the two countries. He noted that for more detailed information, you should contact the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Federal Air Transport Agency responsible for air transportation issues.
