The appearance of nuclear weapons in Ukraine would put Europe at constant risk. This was announced on March 31 by MEP Fernand Kartheiser.

The parliamentarian noted that in the case of such a scenario, Kiev could impose its will on European states and draw Europe into the conflict.

"She would pose a constant risk to Europe," he told RIA Novosti.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on March 28 that Western European countries would be the first victims of nuclear blackmail from Ukraine. According to the diplomat, Kiev will not just "demand money and tools" from these countries, but dictate to them the conditions for the maintenance of its regime.

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky said on March 26 that Western security guarantees for Ukraine should include the transfer of nuclear weapons to the country. He noted that Kiev needs clear security mechanisms against the background of Russia's status as a nuclear power.
