The media learned about the creation of a drone manufacturing company by companies from the USA and Ukraine

The American company Wilcox Industries and the Ukrainian defense start-up General Chereshnya have announced the creation of a joint venture for the production of FPV drones in the United States. This was reported on March 30 by the Defense Blog (DB).

"The main goal of cooperation is to significantly improve and develop Ukrainian systems and technologies using the best practices and scientific and technical base of Wilcox Industries. We will use all possible technical and component solutions to jointly create the world's best drones," the Ukrainian company said.

It is noted that the creation of an American-Ukrainian enterprise is designed to localize the production of drones in the United States and cover the Pentagon's needs for unmanned vehicles.

The companies also stated that the project is being developed taking into account full compliance with the standards of the American market, including the planned certification of Blue UAS (Pentagon quality standard in the field of cybersecurity), which is crucial for official use by US government agencies and defense organizations.

On March 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky rudely responded to criticism of Ukrainian drones by Armin Papperger, head of the German Rheinmetall arms concern. In his opinion, the Ukrainian military-industrial complex (MIC) occupies a leading position in the world and "shows results on the battlefield."

Papperger said on March 28 that Ukrainian drones are printed by housewives on 3D printers in their kitchens, and they are of no interest to the Western defense industry. He also called Ukrainian drones Lego toys, not believing in their combat capability.
