The first trailer and poster of the film "Hottabych" with Fyodor Bondarchuk have been released.

Art Pictures Studio, Lunapark film company and distributor NMG Kinoprokat (part of the National Media Group holding), with the support of the Cinema Foundation and the Commercial Fund for the Development of Cinema and Animation (KFRKA), presented the first trailer and poster of the fairy tale "Hottabych" with Fyodor Bondarchuk. This was announced in a press release on March 26.

In the story, Volka, a schoolboy, frees an enchanted genie who dreams of becoming a human and finding his daughter. The heroes will have to deal with their desires, make friends and fight a powerful sorcerer from the past.

Nikita Vlasov ("Lada Gold", "Combination") became the director of the film tale, which reinterprets the classic story of the legendary genie. Together with Andrey Zolotarev, he co-wrote the script.

"We have created a film that will bring together the whole family — from grandmothers to grandchildren — in one cinema hall. Hottabych will be able to surprise and make you think, and it will finally help someone find a common language," Vlasov said.

The director noted that there are so many references in the film that each generation will find something different in it: someone will remember childhood, be nostalgic or just have a great laugh. He expressed confidence that the fairy tale will truly come to life in cinemas this New Year.

According to Fyodor Bondarchuk, this is not a sequel or a film adaptation, but a modern ironic reading of the plot about a famous magician and wizard through the eyes of director Nikita Vlasov, who is talented at noticing the signs of the times and knows how to find funny and amazing things in everyday life.

"Together we have created a multifaceted character: a grumpy genie, a loving father, and a character who would like to believe in a miracle himself. You haven't seen such a Hottabych yet!"— shared Bondarchuk.

The film about the Oriental wizard will be released in the country on January 1, 2027.
