QatarEnergy announces force majeure on LNG supply contracts
Qatar National Energy Company QatarEnergy has announced force majeure on long-term contracts for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) with Spain, China, South Korea and Belgium. This was reported on March 25 by Al Jazeera TV channel.
"QatarEnergy has declared force majeure on some of its long-term LNG supply contracts, including for customers in Italy, Belgium, South Korea and China," the publication says.
It is specified that this step was taken against the background of the US and Israeli operations in Iran. During the military operations, the company's facility in Ras Laffan suffered serious damage from a missile attack.
