Deputy of the State Duma (State Duma), Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee Yuri Shvytkin will be buried in his small homeland — in Krasnoyarsk. This was announced on Tuesday, March 24, by the politician's press secretary Lyubov Kaufman.

She clarified that the farewell ceremony with Shvytkin will be held both in Moscow and in Krasnoyarsk.

"The funeral [will take place] in Krasnoyarsk," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, announced Shvytkin's death at the age of 61 a day earlier. The deputy chairman of the Defense Committee, as specified, was born on May 24, 1965 in Krasnoyarsk. In 1986, he graduated from the Novosibirsk Higher Military-Political Combined Arms College, and in 1999, from the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. During his service, the statesman was awarded three orders of Courage, as well as medals "For Military Merit", "For Distinction in military service" of the first degree, "For Military Valor", "For service in special forces" and other awards.
