- Patrushev announced the export of agricultural products from Russia for more than $ 41 billion in 2025
The volume of exports of Russian agricultural products by the end of 2025 exceeded $41 billion. This was announced on March 24 by Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, at a meeting on the development of the export potential of Russian agricultural products.
The increase in production makes it possible to strengthen Russia's position in foreign markets. Traditionally, Russia supplies vegetable oils, cereals, dairy products, meat and seafood to international markets. The export range is steadily increasing, with a significant increase in the supply of high-value-added products becoming a noticeable trend last year. Despite the foreign policy challenges and difficult global market conditions, Russia has once again established itself as a reliable trading partner and continued stable supplies of agricultural products abroad.
"By the end of 2025, the volume of exports exceeded $41 billion. Sales of fish and seafood increased by 22%, the meat and dairy group added about 20%, and confectionery supplies increased by 14%. Our country retains a leading position in the trade of wheat, fish and sunflower oil. And the export geography covers more than 160 countries. At the same time, 90% of its total volume is sent to friendly countries. Thus, Russia makes a significant contribution to ensuring global food security," Patrushev said.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Russian President Vladimir Putin has outlined a goal according to which by 2030 the volume of exports in monetary terms should reach more than $55 billion. The implementation of this guideline requires the consolidation of efforts of government and business.
Patrushev announced on January 21 that Russia had increased milk production to record levels over the past 30 years. Last year, farmers supplied about 34.3 million tons of this product. The Government provides extensive financial support to this segment. If 38 billion rubles were allocated for the development of the industry in 2020, then 77 billion rubles will be allocated in 2025.
