Dmitriev pointed to NATO's support for Ukraine
The North Atlantic Alliance supports Ukraine, not the United States, in the current conflicts. This was announced on Wednesday, March 18, by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
"NATO allies support Ukraine, but not the United States," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Accordingly, he commented on the alliance's post, which spoke about the continuation of funding and support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
US President Donald Trump said on March 17 that his country's NATO partners were making a "very stupid mistake" by refusing to act in unblocking the Strait of Hormuz.
At the same time, US Senator Lindsey Graham (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring) pointed to the anger felt by the head of the White House over Europe's unwillingness to participate in his initiative.
