Rosstat compared salaries of teachers and doctors in 2025

The average monthly salary for teachers in Russia in 2025 was more than 70 thousand rubles, and for doctors — over 80 thousand rubles. This was reported on March 15 in Rosstat.

"The average monthly accrued salary of the organization's employees (excluding social benefits) by type of economic activity: education — 71,345 rubles, activities in the field of healthcare and social services — 81,726 rubles," TASS cites the agency's data.

Salaries in education increased by 13% in 2025, and in healthcare by 14%. The average salary in the country in December 2025 was 139,727 rubles.

Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, announced on March 13 that the average salary of Russians in 2025 increased by 13.5%. He also noted that unemployment was recorded at a historically low level of 2.2%.
