The expert named ways to attract employers' attention to her resume.
On Wednesday, March 11, Aygun Kurbanova, founder of the School of Career Management and president of the Association of Career Consultants, gave some advice to those who are looking for a job.
According to the expert, one of the common mistakes of candidates is to use automated bots for mass job responses. The specialist explained that recruiters see the history of the applicant's responses, and massive responses using bots often lead to the opposite effect.
"A recruiter sees that a candidate has responded to dozens of different roles, and he gets the feeling that the person is just aimlessly sending out a resume," Kurbanova said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
She also said that several hundred responses can be received for one vacancy per night, but recruitment specialists usually only look at the top ten resumes, so one way to increase their chances is to send feedback early in the morning or late at night: the probability of getting to the top of the list increases.
Kurbanova recommended paying attention to cover letters. According to her, recruiters really read them.
It is better to briefly explain what experience you have and how it relates to the tasks in the vacancy. In the text of your resume, you should find the key functions and the key project that an employee is looking for, and tell them about it.
According to the expert, another important factor is automatic candidate selection systems. After responding through job sites, resumes often end up in corporate recruitment systems, where they undergo initial screening by artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms.
"If specific tools or technologies are specified in the vacancy, they should also be used in the wording of the resume. Many systems first check if keywords match," the expert explained, adding that attempts to deceive algorithms can lead to the opposite effect, since modern systems are able to recognize such techniques.
Kurbanova also noted that applicants should carefully approach salary expectations and focus not on the previous income level, but on the current market situation.
On February 19, Tatiana Bogoslovskaya, head of the recruitment sector at Fix Price, explained how to create a successful resume. According to her, it is important to remember that a recruiter spends only a few minutes on an initial review, so the document should be as clear and structured as possible. First of all, it is recommended to clearly indicate the desired position and key competencies. Special attention should also be paid to work experience.
