The Iranian side is not considering the possibility of further negotiations with the United States. This was announced on March 10 by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

In addition, he said that it was too early for the elected supreme leader of Iran, Mojtab Khamenei, to make any statements.

"We are all waiting for his statements and comments that will follow later. But I don't think that the issue of regular contacts or negotiations with the Americans will be under consideration, because we have a very bitter experience of communicating with the Americans," he said in an interview with PBS.

On March 6, Bloomberg reported that the Saudi authorities had intensified contacts with the Iranian side to contain the conflict in the region. According to the agency, Saudi officials have been actively using communication channels with Tehran in recent days in an effort to reduce tensions.

The day before, Iranian leader Masoud Peseshkian said that a number of countries had begun mediation efforts to resolve the conflict in Iran. He stressed that Iran strives for lasting peace in the region, but at the same time "without hesitation" defends its dignity and sovereignty.
