The Iranian armed forces deny allegedly launching missiles towards Turkey. This was announced on March 4 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic.

"The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran respect the sovereignty of the neighboring and friendly country of Turkey and refute any reports of missile launches on the territory of this country," the ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

On March 4, the Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador to Ankara. According to the source, it concerned the incident with the Iranian missile.

On the same day, the Turkish Defense Ministry said that a ballistic missile, presumably launched from Iran, was destroyed in Turkish airspace for the first time since the beginning of the conflict in the Middle East.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
