Recently, new data has appeared online about the members of one of the most closed elite communities, the Bohemian Club, which has existed since the 19th century. Independent journalist Daniel Boguslav received a list of names of famous people who joined the ranks of the society. Its authenticity was confirmed by one of the current members of the club. What is happening in the official residence of the community, the Bohemian Grove, has been a mystery for a long time. Only occasionally do some details leak to the press, but they do not receive official confirmation. What is the peculiarity of the Bohemian Club and why the news about it causes so much discussion is in the Izvestia article.

An elite club with a cult bias

American actor Clint Eastwood, billionaire and ex-mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg, as well as former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and other influential people probably belong to a closed elite Bohemian club. This was reported by the New York Post (NYP).

Independent journalist Daniel Boguslav received a list of more than 2,000 names dated 2023. One of the current members of the club confirmed its authenticity to the publication. The list includes many famous personalities: businessmen, financiers, technology leaders, cultural figures, and so on. At the same time, the club itself stated that, for reasons of confidentiality, the list was not officially disclosed.

The list that appeared in the media also included the husband and nephew of former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, former heads of U.S. agencies John Herrington and Donald Evans, former ministers Nicholas Brady and James Baker. In addition, the names of former Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander and former CIA deputy Director Bobby Inman appear on the list. It is claimed that the late United States Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was also a member of the mysterious organization for a long time.

The Bohemian Club is a closed men's community established back in 1872. The meeting point is Bohemian Grove, a place based in California, near the city of Monte Rio. Every year in July, members of the club, who call themselves "grovers" (grove — "grove"), gather in the relict forest for two-week meetings, which, according to a few witnesses, are accompanied by pagan rituals.

The worries of the American rich

Bohemian Grove is located in Sonoma County, on the rocky shore of the Russian River among ancient redwoods, and occupies approximately 2.7 thousand acres (11 square kilometers). Membership in the club is awarded to influential people, primarily representatives of the American elite, media moguls, heads of special services, and so on. You can get into a closed community only on the recommendation of another member.

118 buildings are located on the territory of the club's "residence", which is headquartered in San Francisco. In addition to the residential buildings, which are wooden huts, there are four venues for theatrical performances, two places for meals and a 12-meter statue of an owl, the symbol of the Bohemian Club. The bird is also depicted on the club's logo along with the motto: "Spiders who spin a web do not come here."

A quote taken from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream means that members of the Bohemian Club are prohibited from any important negotiations in the grove. However, there is evidence that the "Manhattan Project" became an exception to the rule, which later resulted in the creation of an atomic bomb.

The buildings inside the Bohemian Grove are divided into sections with special names — "guests" are located on the territory depending on the social status. For example, Cave Man belongs to oil companies and military industrialists, Lost Angels belongs to bankers, and Hillbillies is inhabited by scientists and investors, and so on. There are 10 sectors in total in the Bohemian Grove. The most guarded and closed site, Owls Nest, is occupied by presidents and other high—ranking people.

For many years, no one fully knew what was going on in the Bohemian Grove. In recent decades, some evidence has begun to appear that pagan rituals with sacrifices are conducted in the redwood reserve, as well as sexual contact with minors and acts of sodomy (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). Presumably, the club's most famous ceremony is called "Cremation of Worries" and consists in the burning of an effigy — a symbol of worldly experiences — sacrificed to a stone owl.

In addition to mystical entertainment, experts say, "mundane" issues are also discussed within the camp. Back in 2016, Breitbart published a letter from former US Secretary of State Colin Powell to Canadian MP Peter Mackay. In it, the politician spoke about the plans of community members to vote against Trump in the upcoming presidential election, which were discussed at a private meeting in the Bohemian Grove.

By the way, this approach is common for a Bohemian club. One of the members of the organization, Nicholas Murray Butler, even argued that the whole world is divided into three categories: a small group that makes decisions, a wider circle of observers, and the majority who are unaware of what is happening around them.

In this regard, Vladimir Vasiliev, chief researcher at the Institute of the USA and Canada, shared with Izvestia the opinion that the Bohemian Grove is a point of acquaintance and communication for the elite, like the island of financier Jeffrey Epstein. It is a place where important issues are discussed in an informal setting and political decisions are made. And rituals and other entertainment of rich Americans are part of the main "camp program."

— In these societies, people get to know each other and form a new political class. Accordingly, the culture of secret meetings, Masonic lodges, Illuminati, and so on has been revived in America. These meetings address issues of the country's development, the creation of weapons, and the outbreak of wars. If you look at it from this point of view, then the entire democratic institution is just a screen," the expert said.

Under the public spotlight

High-profile information about gated communities, whether it's the scandal with financier Jeffrey Epstein and his island, the parties of Sean Combs, known as P. Diddy, or the meetings of the Bohemian Club, cause heated discussion in the media. Recently, the crisis of trust in the elites has intensified in the United States, which breaks all beliefs about the "civil religion of society." Malek Dudakov, an American political scientist, believes that there is nothing surprising in Americans' desire to learn all the details of the lives of high-ranking officials hidden "behind a screen."

Special attention will be paid to all private clubs, especially since there are a huge number of them in the USA, and we understand that Epstein and Bohemian Grove are grains in the sandbox. I think that even now there are a lot of such parties, it's just that now the participants are trying to better conspire," the expert concluded.
