The Prime Minister of Russia congratulated director, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, President of the National Drama Theater of Russia (Alexandrinsky Theater) Valery Fokin on his 80th birthday. The congratulatory telegram was published on February 28 on the website of the Government of the Russian Federation.

"For more than two decades, your name has been inextricably linked with the Alexandrinsky Theater, which, under your leadership, has become one of the country's leading cultural centers, a space for the implementation of large—scale art projects that invariably attract the attention of a wide audience, creative search, and bold stage experiments," the telegram says.

The Prime Minister also noted Fokin's high professionalism, fine artistic taste, and boundless dedication to the cause. According to him, the support of talented directors and the formation of modern approaches contribute to the expansion and strengthening of international cultural cooperation.
