In Belgorod, they said goodbye to senior police Lieutenant Denis Bratushchenko, who died in an explosion at Moscow's Savelovsky railway Station. Footage of the farewell on February 27 is published by Izvestia.

The ceremony took place in the Church of St. John of Kronstadt. The funeral service was attended by colleagues, relatives and friends of the deceased. Bratushchenko will be buried at the Yachnevo cemetery in the Eastern District of Belgorod.

The day before, a farewell ceremony for the policeman was also held in Moscow on the territory of the Department of Internal Affairs for the North-Eastern Administrative District. Bratushchenko was 34 years old. He has served in the Metropolitan Police since March 2019. He is survived by his wife and two minor children.

The explosion at the Savyolovsky railway station occurred on the night of February 24. The reason for the incident near the traffic police car in Moscow was the suicide bombing of a criminal. Irina Volk, an official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, said that the family of the deceased, who turned out to be senior police Lieutenant Denis Bratushchenko, as well as the victims, would receive the necessary assistance.

Later it became known that the perpetrator turned out to be a 22-year-old native of Udmurtia, who regularly issued microloans. His name was Sergey M., he was fond of the Resident Evil series of games. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on February 24 that the perpetrator of the explosion on the Savelovsky Railway Station Square was most likely recruited via the Internet.
