Humennik's shoelace snapped during the rental of a short program
Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik encountered a technical problem during the performance of the short program at the Olympic Games in Italy, namely, a broken shoelace. This was announced on February 10 by the athlete's coach Veronika Daineko.
"Well, yes, apparently, the lace's nerves couldn't stand it," Daineko said in an interview with RIA Novosti, commenting on the incident.
Humennik presented the short program on Tuesday, February 10. Despite the torn shoelace, the skater completed the rental and received 86.72 points.
On February 10, Humennik shared with Izvestia his feelings about the scandal related to the rights to the soundtrack from the film "The Perfumer". He noted that coach Tamara Moskvina assumed full responsibility for resolving this issue.
