The media reported on the beating of two Ukrainian women in Poland
Two Ukrainian girls were beaten in the Polish city of Pruszków, as a result of which four people were detained. This was reported on February 9 by RMF24 radio station.
"When one of the residents approached the attackers, she was attacked with tear gas, a wooden baton and other weapons. Another woman who came to her aid was also injured," the publication says.
It is specified that local law enforcement officers managed to detain four suspects, including one woman and three men. According to the radio station, the attackers shouted vulgar obscenities at the women during the beating, demanding that they return to their homeland.
On January 28, Polish Member of the European Parliament Eva Zajonchkowska-Gernik spoke out against a possible new wave of migration of Ukrainians to Poland, referring to the forecast of the National Bank of Ukraine. She stressed that this would create enormous pressure on Polish social systems, healthcare and education, especially in light of the country's possible accession to the European Union (EU) as early as 2027.
