The Moscow region, as well as the Republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, became the leaders among Russian regions in the number of drivers who were deprived of their license for driving under the influence of alcohol. This was announced on February 7 by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"In January-June 2025, in cases related to driving under the influence of drivers (Parts 1, 3 of Article 12.8 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation), the State Traffic Inspectorate received decisions from the courts on the deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle, including the imposition of an administrative fine: the Republic of Bashkortostan — 2,346 drivers," it said. the agency in an interview with TASS.
In the Moscow Region, 2,232 people lost their rights due to drunkenness, and 2,230 in Tatarstan. The Chelyabinsk Region (2,167 drivers), Nizhny Novgorod Region (1,829) and Moscow (1,025) joined the list.
On January 9, amendments to the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation came into force in Russia, which established new sanctions for violations of safety rules when transporting children. Now the imposition of an administrative fine on the driver will amount to 5 thousand rubles (previously - 3 thousand rubles); on officials — 50 thousand rubles (previously — 25 thousand rubles); on legal entities — 200 thousand rubles (previously — 100 thousand rubles).
