Pentagon signs contract for maintenance of F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine

The Pentagon has signed a contract worth $235.5 million for the maintenance of F-16 fighter jets, including those that were transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on January 29 by the Agency for Security Cooperation (DSCA) of the US Department of War.

"Sabena Aerospace Engineering of Voluve-Saint-Lambert, Belgium, has received a fixed-price, time-and-materials contract in the amount of $235,449,716 to support the overseas military sales program of the Management System Program for the F-16," the statement said.

It is specified that the contract provides for the maintenance of intermediate and depot-level aircraft and engines for Ukraine.

On December 29, 2025, Reuters reported that Boeing had received a contract to supply F-15 aircraft to the Israeli Air Force. It was clarified that the contract amount was $8.6 billion and it was planned to deliver 25 aircraft.
