The time required for servicing Pobeda Airlines flights may be extended due to the expected heavy snowfall in the capital and its region, which has put the organization's services on high alert. This was announced on Tuesday night, January 27, by the Pobedy press service.

"Our production and customer services have been switched to an enhanced mode of operation. Due to the expected increase in the load on ground services and the need for constant clearing of the apron and runways, it is possible to increase the time required to prepare aircraft for departure and service incoming flights," RIA Novosti reports.

Airline representatives in their statement urged customers to travel to the airport in advance, taking into account the situation that could potentially develop on the roads due to bad weather. They also urged passengers to monitor the status of their flights.

Pobeda is ready to ensure the production program in compliance with all flight safety requirements," the text concluded.

Representatives of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in Moscow and the Moscow region warned people a day earlier that heavy snow, blizzard and ice could be recorded from January 27 to January 29. Later, the press service of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the capital urged motorists to abandon trips by private transport on January 27 and 28 due to heavy snowfall.

On January 26, Roscosmos published a picture of a snow cyclone approaching Moscow. The photo, as specified, was taken using the Electro-L and Arctic-M satellites.
