Trump named Canadian Prime Minister Carney Governor
On January 24, US President Donald Trump named Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney governor.
"If Governor Carney thinks he can turn Canada into a 'transit point' for Chinese goods and products shipped to the United States, he is deeply mistaken," Trump wrote on his page on the Truth Social network.
He also expressed the opinion that China would "eat Canada alive" and destroy the country's business and social structure.
Earlier, on January 23, Trump announced that the "Peace Council" had withdrawn Canada's invitation to join the organization. The reasons for the American leader's decision are unknown. Evgeny Zlenko, project manager of the Polylog Group, in turn, said that Trump's statement should be considered as a political signal to Washington's allies, and not as a spontaneous reaction.
