The State Duma talked about the indexation of military pensions

Starting from October 1, 2026, it is planned to index military pensions by 4%, the percentage may increase by the time of indexing. This was announced on January 24 by Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"Military pensions have their own indexation procedure. It depends on how the amount of money allowance is changed. Now <...> changes of 4% are planned. <...> This applies not only to the line of the Ministry of Defense, but to pensioners of all law enforcement agencies," TASS quoted.

From five and more: all parental leave up to 1.5 years will be included in the insurance record

The recalculation of pensions since January has already affected 400,000 mothers with many children.

Alexey Govyrin, a State Duma deputy from United Russia, said on January 18 that pensioners who continued to work officially in 2025 and for whom employers transferred insurance contributions to the Social Fund of Russia would be able to count on an increase in their pensions from August. Indexing will be done automatically. The amount of the increase will be calculated based on the receipts to the pension system for the previous year.
