Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Rustem Umerov met with American negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff during the visit of the Kiev delegation to Davos. He announced this on January 22 in the Telegram channel.
"A separate meeting was held with American partners Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff," the official said.
In addition, the delegation held a meeting with representatives of the American investment company Black Rock, as well as with the Foreign Ministers of Qatar and Norway. It is reported that among the main topics on the agenda were plans for the reconstruction of the country after the conflict, security guarantees and economic development.
The Axios portal reported on January 21 that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to travel to Davos on Thursday, January 22, to meet with his American counterpart Donald Trump. The meeting is scheduled to take place shortly before the US president's special envoy, Witkoff, travels to Moscow for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Both planned diplomatic contacts will be devoted to discussing the peace plan for Ukraine.
