Washington and Yerevan will create a joint venture to develop transport routes in Armenia called the [US President Donald] Route Trump's path to International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP Development Company), in which the United States will own a controlling stake. This was reported on January 13 on the website of the press service of the US Department of State.

According to the report, the TRIPP project will be aimed at developing transport infrastructure in Armenia, including certain transit routes to be specified later. At the same time, Armenia will retain full sovereignty over the sites involved in the project.

TRIPP Development Company will be engaged in the development and implementation of infrastructure, with the United States owning 74% of shares, and Armenia — 26%. The agreement will be valid for 49 years, with the possibility of extension for another 50 years, and in the future Armenia's share may increase to 49% as a result of the issue of additional shares.

It is assumed that the project will include the rights to develop railways, highways, energy and fiber-optic infrastructure. However, Armenia retains the right to control national security and law enforcement agencies.

On November 14, 2025, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Washington was discussing two options proposed by Yerevan, according to which a transport corridor with Azerbaijan could be leased to the United States. The head of the Armenian government explained that according to one of them, the corridor can be transferred for a period of 49 years, according to the second — for 99 years.
