AvtoVAZ returned to a five-day working week
After the New Year holidays, AvtoVAZ resumed its work in a standard five-day operating mode. This was reported on January 12 by RIA Novosti with reference to the company's press service.
AvtoVAZ switched to a four-day schedule from September 29, 2025. Maxim Sokolov, the company's president, signed the order to return to five days since the beginning of the new year in early December.
As Sokolov previously said, AvtoVAZ's production plan for 2026 is 400,000 vehicles, and the company is returning to a standard workweek schedule to meet it.
This year AvtoVAZ plans to start production of the flagship Lada Azimut crossover, equip the Niva Legend SUV with a new 1.8-liter engine, and also launch the Lada Vesta model in the Sport modification.
In November last year, it became known that AvtoVAZ had put its first Lada crossover to the test. Full-scale tests of the Azimut model are one of the key stages in preparing the model for mass production.
