Green stated the Americans' dissatisfaction with Trump's conflict policy
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green said on January 3 that supporters of US President Donald Trump made a mistake by voting for him and expecting an end to military conflicts.
"Americans are disgusted by the endless military aggression of our own government, and supporting foreign wars is justified because we have to pay for it. <...> Many supporters of [the movement] MAGA (Make America Great Again, "Make America great again." — Ed.) thought that was why they voted to end [the conflict]," reads a message on X (formerly Twitter).
Green also clarified that young U.S. citizens are unhappy that they are facing a rising cost of living due to the redistribution of taxes on foreign policy.
On the same day, the American leader announced that the United States had successfully launched a large-scale strike on Venezuela. He noted that Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife Celia Flores were captured and taken out of the territory of the state.
The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the American leadership to release Maduro. In addition, the Ministry also stressed the need to create conditions for resolving existing problems between the parties through diplomatic means.
Later, the American leader said that there was extensive evidence of Maduro's alleged crimes. Thus, the president of Venezuela, according to his information, personally supervised the activities of the Cartel de los Soles (Cartel of the Suns. — Ed.), who was transporting drugs to the United States.
