Degtyarev and Lut fulfilled the dreams of children in the framework of the "Wish Tree" campaign

On January 2, Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut and Minister of Sports, Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyarev fulfilled the wishes of children in the Christmas Tree of Wishes charity event.

Degtyarev helped make the dream of 16-year-old Dmitry Onishchenko from Rostov-on-Don come true. The teenager has the first adult class in swimming and competes in deaf sports. Dmitry wished to attend a master class of swimmer, four-time Olympic champion Alexander Popov.

The meeting with the swimmer took place in Moscow at the site of the Aquatoria ZIL complex, where the Vladykina Cup, a swimming competition among athletes with disabilities, was taking place at that time. The Olympic champion talked with the young athlete and his mother, presented gifts and left a memorable autograph on a photo from the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.

Lut helped fulfill the dream of an 11-year-old resident of the Krasnodar Territory. Karina, a schoolgirl from Semigorsky farm, has long wanted to attend a professional cooking class. Her wish was fulfilled in one of the family restaurants in Novorossiysk, where, under the guidance of a chef, the girl, along with her sister Milena, mastered the basics of pizza preparation and tried herself as a real chef.

After the lesson, Karina was pleased with memorable gifts — she was given a pan for baking pancakes and a soft toy symbolizing the coming year. The girl's sister also received surprises: a book and a toy.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also took part in the "Wish Tree" on December 30, 2025, fulfilling the dreams of three schoolchildren from the capital and Lugansk. So, 11-year-old Arina from Lugansk, a participant in numerous creative contests and Olympiads, Sergei Sobyanin sent a gymnastic wall as a gift. Also, 12-year-old Bazhen-Lelya from Moscow, who is fond of drawing, modeling and history, received a smart speaker for the New Year. And Dmitry, a 14-year-old schoolboy from the capital, dreamed of meeting a military pilot — and this dream also came true with the help of the mayor of the capital.
