Dmitry Bakanov, the head of Roscosmos, talked with the children and presented them with gifts, whose postcards he took off the Wishing Tree on December 18. This was reported by Izvestia on December 29.

Ten-year-old Hamlet from Samara dreamed of visiting Moscow, Gordey from Arkhangelsk wished to visit SoyuZmultPark, and Roman from Alchevsk of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR) asked for a designer for this New Year. Bakanov invited all the children and their parents to Moscow.

"I immediately decided to gather all the guys in Moscow to personally get to know them and their parents. The All-Russian charity event "Wish Tree" has been held since 2018 on behalf of the President [of Russia Vladimir Putin] and has become a good New Year's Eve tradition. In seven years, more than 320,000 children's New Year's wishes have been fulfilled," said the head of Roscosmos.

It is specified that as part of the realization of the wishes of the participants, supervised by Bakanov, an eventful day was organized. The program included a visit to the Museum of Cosmonautics and the Space and Aviation pavilion at VDNH with guided tours. A special New Year's Eve program was organized at Soyuzmultpark for Gordey, Hamlet and Roman. The head of Roscosmos held a tea party meeting with the participants and their families, which was joined by Roscosmos cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Alexander Grebenkin. During the dialogue, answers were given to the questions of the young guests regarding space topics, after which Bakanov presented the boys with memorable gifts.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova and Minister of Sports Mikhail Degtyarev took part in the Christmas Tree of Wishes charity event on December 26. It was clarified that Degtyarev promised 14-year-old Ivan from Troitsk motorcycle boots to control a motorcycle. Lyubimova removed from the Christmas tree the wish of 17-year-old Vladimir, who wanted to try himself as a subway announcer.
