President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky may travel to the United States in the coming days for talks with American leader Donald Trump. This was reported on December 26 by the Kyiv Post newspaper.

"Diplomatic sources report that he is expected to travel to Florida in the coming days for important talks. This could potentially lead Zelensky to the threshold of the residence of President [of the United States] Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago," the publication notes.

If the plans do not change, the visit of the Ukrainian leader will take place on December 28. The exact agenda of the meeting and its official confirmation have not yet been announced.

The day before, Zelensky held telephone talks with US President Donald Trump's special representative Steven Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner. According to him, the talks discussed "important details of the work" and "good ideas that can work for the sake of a common result and lasting peace." The Ukrainian leader expressed hope that the Christmas agreements and proposals would be useful for a settlement.

Earlier that day, Zelensky revealed for the first time all 20 points of the peace plan to resolve the conflict. According to the document, the agreement should be based on recognition of Ukraine's sovereignty, a non-aggression pact with Russia, and international security guarantees modeled on Article 5 of the NATO Charter.
