In the Jewish Autonomous Region, employees of the Birobidzhansky patrol and guard service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia used firearms to stop a car, the driver of which ignored a legitimate police signal and tried to escape. This was announced on December 24 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"The man repeatedly violated traffic rules and posed a threat to others, despite warnings about the use of weapons," she wrote on the Telegram channel.

It was clarified that the policeman fired a warning shot upward, and then opened fire on the wheels, after which the offender stopped and was detained.

It turned out that the man was deprived of the right to drive vehicles. Administrative protocols have been drawn up against the violator, and the car has been placed in a specialized parking lot.

Earlier in the day, the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case in connection with an incident in the south of Moscow, as a result of which traffic police officers were injured.
