Experts pointed to a decrease in the average cost of used foreign cars

The average cost of a foreign car with a mileage of no more than 15 years has been decreasing for the 12th month in a row. This was reported to Izvestia on December 11 in <url> Assessment.

The average price of used cars of Chinese brands fell by 1% in a month to 1.98 million rubles, and for the first time since August 2023 it was below 2 million rubles. The group of European, Japanese and Korean brands recorded similar rates of decline.

By the end of November, the average price decreased by almost 30 thousand rubles and reached 2.16 million rubles. The last time it was at this level was almost two years ago, in January 2023. In annual terms, the drop exceeded 11%.

The largest drop in the average cost, by 3%, in November among used models was shown by the Volvo S60 of the second generation (1.04 million rubles), Haval Jolion (1.95 million rubles), Exeed LX (1.8 million rubles) and Kia Rio of the fourth generation (1.45 million rubles). The average price of a domestic car has been around 700,000 rubles for seven months now, with a slight downward trend.
