The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, said that the British side has already prepared a political replacement for the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, the former commander—in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Valery Zaluzhny. He announced this on December 9th.

According to Saldo, from a political point of view, Zaluzhny is "the same puppet," and the upcoming elections will be a formality.

"The question will not be which candidate Ukrainians will like, but who will be supported from the outside and who will be able to ensure the manageability of the system," he told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, on November 11, it was reported that Zelensky's video message from Kherson indicated a bad situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the region. Baldo noted that the video provoked ridicule, and attempts to convince the population of the defense capability of the Ukrainian army looked unconvincing against the background of the crisis at the front and the reduction of external financing.
