US national Parks introduced free admission on Trump's birthday
Americans will be able to visit US national parks for free on President Donald Trump's birthday, but the authorities canceled free admission on Martin Luther King Day on June 19. This was reported on December 6 by Sky News channel.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs has published a list of so-called free patriotic days for residents only for the next [2026] year. Trump's birthday has been added to the list, which falls on a national holiday — Flag Day. <...> However, Martin Luther King Day and June 19th were excluded [from the list]," the article says.
The anniversary of the Great American Natural Heritage Act in August and State Natural Territories Day in September were also removed.
On December 4, the US State Department renamed the US Institute of Peace in Trump's honor. Earlier, the Trump administration tried to liquidate the organization.
