Lavrov pointed to Europe's withdrawal from negotiations on Ukraine
Europe has withdrawn itself from negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on November 30 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"In my opinion, it is obvious to everyone that Europe has already withdrawn itself from the negotiations," he said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, a fragment of the interview was published on the Telegram channel of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to the head of the minister, European representatives violated previous agreements aimed at ending the Ukrainian crisis. Lavrov added that Europe had not used "all its chances."
The day before, Bloomberg reported that European states were excluded from discussing a significant part of the details of the peace plan negotiations and were allowed only to a narrow range of discussions.
At the same time, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis noted that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen were hindering US President Donald Trump's efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis peacefully with their position on Ukraine.
