As a result of the occupation by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (RF Armed Forces) of the village of Guy in the Dnipropetrovsk region, it was possible to take control of an important road junction and an area of 5 square kilometers. This was announced on November 17 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"The assault units of the 36th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces have decisively liberated the village of Guy in the Dnipropetrovsk region. During the rapid attack, an important road junction was taken under control, as well as an area of more than 5 square kilometers," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that despite the enemy's pre-prepared positions and heavy fire, the assault groups knocked him out of his strongholds and occupied advantageous positions. During the fighting, the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment, the ministry said.

On the same day, it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Dvurechanskoye in the Kharkiv region, Platonovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), as well as the village of Guy. It was noted that the losses of the Ukrainian military in the area of the latter amounted to more than 215 people. In addition, two armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles and three field artillery guns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed.
